Presenter Information

Oral Presentations
  1. All oral presentations are allotted a 20-minute time slot for presentation and discussion. It is strongly recommended that speakers plan on a 15-16 minute presentation to allow 4-5 minutes for questions. Speakers typically can cover 1-2 slides per minute.
  2. Each room will be equipped with a computer running Microsoft Windows connected to an LCD projector. Authors should ensure that their presentations are loaded onto the computer in their assigned room before the beginning of the session. To facilitate checking presentations before the scheduled session, there will be a speaker prep room at the conference venue. If authors wish to have an alternative presentation method (e.g. overhead projector for transparencies), they must contact the Technical Program Chairs at tpc2007-l@et.byu.edu
  3. All papers must be presented in person at the symposium in order to be included in the published proceedings appearing on IEEExplore
Interactive Forum (Posters)
  1. The venue for the Interactive Forum sessions will be in the historic Royal Hawaiian Hotel (Coconut Grove Lawn) which is attached to the Sheraton.
  2. The Poster presentations will be housed in traditional Hawaiian style tents, six per tent, with every two placed back-to-back on a poster board, and the three poster boards placed in a star arrangement inside each tent.
  3. Complimentary buffet lunches will be provided for all attendees during the period of the Interactive Forum (Monday -Wednesday, 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM). This clearly is expected to attract great participation in the Interactive forum. Buffet lunches will be placed in the central area of the Coconut Grove.
  4. Although the tents are intended to protect the posters from the elements (rain, etc.) we recommend that all poster presentations be laminated for protection.
  5. To help accommodate three poster boards in each tent, the boards will be assembled vertically. It is therefore essential that you arrange your Interactive Forum presentation to fit a 96 inches high and 40 inches wide (244 cm high and 102 cm wide) space.
  6. Push pins and velcro tape will be available, but authors may bring their own velcro tape or push pins to avoid delays. Interactive Forum authors are asked to have their posters mounted at the assigned location before the beginning of the interactive forum at 11:45 am, and should be present at their posters to answer questions from 11:45 am until 1:45 pm on the day of the assigned forum.
  7. All papers must be presented in person at the symposium in order to be included in the published proceedings appearing on IEEExplore
