LABORATORY FACILITIES
Microwave Network Analysis Laboratory

The microwave network analysis laboratory will serve as the work horse of testing impedance and matching characteristics of the new antenna designs, test and characterization of RF components (oscillators, mixers, switches, filters, low-noise amplifiers, and other active and passive circuits and components) for the retrodirective array system, materials characterization for the Ferroelectric materials phase shifter designs, and for the design and implementation of the quasi-optical power combiners. The proposed equipment include an Agilent E8364B Microwave Vector Network Analyzer with standard calibration kit (85056A), and an Agilent Spectrum Analyzer (E4448A). These are multipurpose use equipment for microwave and millimeter wave test and measurements and their availability will be of significant value in supporting the ongoing research programs, graduate and undergraduate courses, and also for supporting the test and measurement needs of local industry in Hawaii.
